鶹Ƶ continued to see enrollment growth in Spring Quarter 2026, with an overall increase of 2.4% in student headcount compared to Spring Quarter 2025, reaching its highest spring enrollment numbers since Spring 2019.
The college’s total enrollment for the quarter stands at 4,727 students, including its Yakima and Grandview campuses, Ellensburg and Toppenish learning centers and online students. Enrollment in YVC’s degree- and certificate-granting programs increased by 4.3% in Spring 2026 from the previous year. Enrollment numbers are as of the 10th day of classes and may change until the end of the term.
“Our college thrives when our community thrives,” said YVC President Teresa Rich. “Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, to grow and to contribute and YVC is committed to opening more pathways to success for individuals, families and our entire region.”
With three-quarters of YVC students being the first in their family to attend college, Rich noted the college has maintained a focus on being innovative in the instruction and support services it offers. For the 2025-26 academic year, the YVC Foundation has awarded more than $700,000 in scholarships to students. The college also created a one-stop location on YVC’s Yakima Campus for students to handle all of their admission and enrollment needs in Deccio Higher Education Center with the relocation of its Pathway Navigators who help students throughout their college journeys. Other supports include free tutoring services, a career and wellness coach to support students in successful launching their careers, the Supporting Students Experiencing Homelessness program and .
Students wanting to begin their education journey during Summer Quarter 2026 can get started now. The application deadline for degree/certificate-seeking students who would like to enroll in Summer Quarter classes is May 20. Both students seeking a degree/certificate and non-degree/certificate-seeking students can register for Summer Quarter classes starting May 13 through the first day of classes on June 22.
The Fall Quarter 2026 application deadline for degree/certificate-seeking students is August 9. Classes for the quarter begin September 21.
