Guaranteed Admissions to Central Washington University

The guaranteed transfer pathway program is designed to provide eligible YVC students with a clear, streamlined, and barrier‑free pathway from YVC to CWU for the completion of a bachelor’s degree.

The program helps students choose an associate degree and classes that match their intended major. It also provides early, coordinated advising to support a smooth transfer and help students earn a bachelor’s degree. The goal is to increase college attendance by removing barriers to higher education.

Student Eligibility

YVC students are eligible for guaranteed admission to Central Washington University if they meet the following criteria:

  • Have achieved a minimum of 60 quarter credits for the most recent quarter transcripted at the time of. applying for the Seamless Transfer Pathway Program, or have completed an associate degree from YVC. 
  • Have earned a cumulative college-level GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Are in good academic and disciplinary standing at YVC.
  • Have no outstanding financial or conduct holds at YVC that would restrict the release of academic records.  

Your Transfer to Central, Made Easier

If you’re planning to transfer to Central, you can choose to have YVC and CWU share your information. This allows you to receive personalized guidance, timely reminders, and coordinated support throughout your transfer journey.

Note: You’ll still receive full advising and admissions support from YVC and CWU, even if you choose not to opt in to information sharing.

CWU will not share any student information with YVC.

  • Food Science and Nutrition, BS
  • Information Technology Management, BAS
  • Music, BA
  • Music Composition, BM
  • Music Education, BM
  • Music Performance, BM
  • Musical Theater, BFA
  • Public Health, BS
  • Theater Design and Production, BFA
  • Theater Performance, BFA
