Transfer Information

A college equivalency guide shows how classes from Â鶹ÊÓƵ transfer to classes at other Washington State colleges and universities. It helps students understand which credits will transfer, so they can plan ahead and avoid taking courses they’ve already completed.

Approximately 40% of all baccalaureate graduates in Washington first earn their 2-year transfer degree from a community/technical college such as YVC.  In addition to completing your associates you want to check with your desired institution for specific transfer requirements.

Items to consider include:

  • Major programs of study – does the school have the degree you want to earn?
  • Admissions process – check application requirements, procedures and deadlines.
  • Cost of Attendance – 4-year public and private school tuition rates are substantially more than YVC.
  • Additionally, consider housing and other costs if you are moving away from home.

YVC hosts several Transfer Fairs throughout the year with various 4-year colleges attending.
