The presidents of Central Washington University and Â鶹ÊÓƵ will come together on YVC’s Yakima Campus next week to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to formalize the Seamless Transfer Pathway Program for YVC students interested in pursuing a four-year degree at CWU.

The Seamless Transfer Pathway Program has been created to provide transfer students with a clear, streamlined and barrier‑free pathway to help YVC students complete a bachelor’s degree. The goal of this agreement is to increase college attendance by eliminating many of the barriers that hinder access to higher education.

The program will make transferring from YVC to CWU similar to moving from middle school to high school. Students will submit a simple request at YVC, which will trigger their CWU application, and their transcripts will automatically be transmitted to CWU. To make the process even easier for students, the Seamless Transfer Pathway Program also includes an application fee waiver, guaranteed admission to the majority of CWU majors, and the creation of dual-institution four-year plans for popular majors.
