About Sheila
I am a proud alumna of YVC who, like many of our students, faced challenges related to growing up in a low-income family and being the first in my family to attend college. I started here, and I made it all the way to my PhD. That's what's so great about YVC - it opens doors for whatever you want to do.
For more than 20 years, I have worked at YVC as an institutional research professional, supporting data-informed decision-making and advancing institutional effectiveness. Since 2015, I have also served as an adjunct instructor in the Information Technology department, teaching across multiple modalities. Teaching allows me to stay connected to students and better understand both the successes they achieve and the challenges they navigate along the way.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy camping and paddleboarding in the Rimrock and Little Naches areas with family, friends, and lots of dogs.
