About Monika
I love teaching at YVC because the students are truly inspiring. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping students tap into their own creativity and discover what they're capable of.
As a former YVC student myself, it鈥檚 especially meaningful to share my journey and experiences with students at the very place where my own college path began.
In my classes, students are encouraged to express themselves while developing skills and knowledge in various visual art processes. It's incredibly fulfilling to watch them grow in confidence and create work they鈥檙e proud of. I鈥檓 always excited when students tell me how surprised they are by what they create.
Outside the classroom, I create artwork influenced by philosophical concepts that interest me. I primarily work in drawing and painting, but I also enjoy working with three-dimensional processes. Lately, my home has become a creative project of its own, as I work to blend art into ongoing renovations and turn my living space into something uniquely beautiful.
