About Leslie
I’m proud to be part of the YVC team, where I strive through collaboration, innovation and empathy to advance student success and promote empathy. I’m the college’s Student Conduct Officer and oversee several Student Services departments, including Athletics, Student Life and Disability Support Services.
I joined YVC in 2000, bringing nearly 25 years of experience in student financial aid administration.
My Journey
My own higher education journey wasn’t easy. As a first-generation student, I worked
full-time while attending classes before work, after work, or on weekends. I moved
around a lot, and in total, I attended six different universities. I earned my Bachelor's
degree at 30 and my Master's degree at 40—an experience that was challenging but completely
worth it.
Why I’m Here
At YVC, I have the privilege of learning about our students’ journeys and finding
ways to help make their paths a little smoother. I truly believe that my role here
gives me the chance to support students in a meaningful way, and I’m grateful for
that every day.
