About Jennifer
I moved to Washington to be near my family, and I was looking to work in the field of Clinical Counseling. The position as an American Sign Language (ASL) and Disability Support Services (DSS) Coordinator at YVC fell into my lap.
A colleague and a friend who works at YVC recommended that I work here. He felt the position was a perfect fit for me. I worked at YVC for 7 years, and I have a disability - I am Deaf, and I have ADHD. I can understand and relate to DSS students' struggles. I have been advocating for them to succeed, and it feels good to see them overcome barriers and graduate from YVC. It is a privilege working here, and with more years to come.
