About Heidi
I was born and raised in Wyoming, then moved to Seattle, WA in 2004 to pursue a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. I relocated to the Yakima Valley in 2008. I have extensive experience working inpatient and outpatient mental health before I finally found my niche in higher education.
I am passionate about working with students holistically, assisting them to be successful academically, finding the right career path, and utilizing tools to manage their mental well-being. One of my focuses here at YVC has been supporting students with disabilities.
At home I spend many hours at my kids' sporting events, camping with family, going for a run, and playing with my dogs.
