Jazz concert

The 鶹Ƶ Jazz Ensemble in concert on May 12, premiering Paradox by Seulah Noh. Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Michael Rodriguez also joined the ensemble and the Three Rivers Jazz Orchestra for this free public concert.

Tension and transformation unfold on stage as YVC’s cast bring the inmates of a 1960s mental institution to life in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” With vivid performances and haunting authenticity, the spring production captured the emotional depth of Ken Kesey’s classic play.

Scrubs Camp

Local high school students explored hands-on healthcare careers during Scrubs Camp hosted in partnership with and . The event held in YVC's Allied Health building in late March, allowed students to gain real-world insight into the dynamic world of medicine and patient care.

Foos event

Foos in Medicine founder Irvin Garcia Real visited YVC to share his powerful journey as a first-generation college graduate and future physician. Raised in a low-income, immigrant household, he spoke candidly about overcoming systemic barriers and how to inspire students from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue their dreams in medicine.

Cap decorating

A YVC graduate adds a personal touch to their cap during a cap decorating event on May 28. With supplies provided and creativity flowing, students prepared to celebrate their big day in style.

CAMP event

Students from YVC’s College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) and their families came together on May 28 in the Kaminski Conference Center to celebrate a year of growth, resilience and achievement during an end-of-year gathering. During the event students received first-generation stoles that were worn during the commencement ceremony.
