An Upward Bound (UB) student builds a car during a class held as part of a summer residential experience meant to provide local high school students an introduction to college life. UB supports students from populations historically underrepresented in higher education, including those who would be the first in the family to attend college and those from low-income families. More than 40 students from Wapato, Toppenish, Granger and Sunnyside high schools participated in UB’s 2025 summer experience at YVC.
