About Melody

I enjoy working at YVC because everyone here has a purpose and a reason for being on campus. It鈥檚 a place where people truly want to be and I love working in an environment that is so welcoming and solution focused. What makes YVC special to me is the sense of belonging. I feel like I鈥檓 genuinely part of this community, and that鈥檚 something I鈥檝e never experienced before in the same way.

Although I don鈥檛 hold a degree, I鈥檝e taken classes here and there and know firsthand what it feels like to be a student navigating learning and growth. That perspective helps me connect with and support our students in a way that is real and down to earth.

Outside of work I enjoy spending my free time cooking or staying active. I love going to the gym when I can, but when that鈥檚 not possible me and my kids enjoy walking at the park together. Staying balanced and connected, whether through food, movement, or family time. Family is really important to me.
