Transfer College Student
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (YVC) is excited to help you continue your journey towards a degree/certificate. Transfer students can follow these guidelines to help make the transition to YVC an easy one.
Steps to Apply
Applying is easy! Just follow the steps below to complete admission to YVC.
- Apply now for admission online or in person at Deccio Higher Education Center.
- Pay the $10 application fee — fee waived for residents of Yakima, Kittitas and Klickitat counties. The fee must be paid online as the last step in the application process.
- To receive the application fee waiver, provide documentation of residency via our .
- Applications for admission will not be processed until fee is paid.

Do I need to attend a New Student Orientation?
Transfer students with fewer than 30 YVC college credits:
Attendance at NSO and meeting with an advisor is required. You will be scheduled for
NSO.
Students with 30 or more transferable college-level credits:
NSO is not required, but advising is highly encouraged. You can register for classes.

Registration Info
You will register for your classes at the New Student Orientation (NSO). You will be able to view your class registration online using the or versions. You can and enroll in the term you applied for. (Student tutorials for ctcLink.)
Pay your tuition and fees through your ctcLink account by the due date; note that YVC offers multiple payment options for your convenience including a payment plan. You can find helpful guides on our ctcLink Student Tutorials.

Need a more manageable way to cover your tuition? Enroll in YVC’s online payment plan through Nelnet and spread your costs into affordable monthly payments.

YVC Bookstore
Visit the Yakima Campus Bookstore! Now that you’ve registered for classes, it is time
to buy books. Visit the College Bookstore to locate and purchase your textbooks.

Student Support
YVC offers numerous academic supports including Counseling, Computer Labs, Math Center,
Tutoring Center, Writing Center, Speech and Language Center, and Library Services.
Disability Support Services, TRIO Support Services, CAMP and MESA to assist students.

Parking Permits
Student parking permits are not required on YVC campuses. Parking is available at no cost on a first-come, first served basis. Lots available for students on the Yakima Campus are A, B, F, H, I, K, L, N, O, P, Q and R. Students are not allowed to park on either the Yakima or Grandview campus in lots that require an employee or visitor permit. Learn more about parking.

Non Traditional Learning
YVC grants college level credit for some non-traditional learning. One form of non-traditional learning is standardized testing from Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or College Level Examination Program (CLEP).
